Company History

In 1994, Scott Fergusson and Dennis Miller, affiliated with Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney respectively, decided they wanted to start their own investment firm. Their independent advisory business was originally called Fergusson Miller Asset Management Corp. and was one of the first independent firms in Ft. Wayne at that time. A major benefit to the new business was their proprietary database. This technology enabled them to provide their clients with individual performance reports that showed the clients' annualized rates of return, which were being tracked daily and compared to both the stock and bond market indices.

Deb was then brought in as the business administrator and ran the day-to-day operations. They next hired Krista May, who had an extensive background in the investment brokerage industry. Krista handles the computer software and data processing and entering client information onto the company's proprietary database.

A few years later Scott's sister-in-law, Shelly Christian, began working at the business as an assistant. In 1999 she became an advisor and took over for Scott when he left the business to start a new technology company. The firm then changed its name to Miller & Christian Asset Management Corp. in 2001.

Since then the company has added another assistant and two additional advisors. Our team believes that we have a full-service staff that has attained the highest levels of professional training and certification to provide our clients with the transparent and unbiased information that will allow them to meet their financial goals.
